MHKs to discuss September start
Middle MHK Bill Shimmins is asking for the dates for House of Keys sittings to change from September next year.
Next week, MHKs will discuss bringing forward the first gathering after the summer recess to the second Tuesday of September.
Under his proposal, there will be no sittings over half-term holidays and TT fortnight.
This week, Mr. Shimmins was unsuccessful in asking Tynwald to shorten the summer legislative break.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper says he feels a September Tynwald sitting has potential:-
