Special Reference to Commonwealth Games
A Commonwealth Day Message from the Queen was read out at the start of this morning's sitting of the House of Keys.
Her majesty made special reference to the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Australia next month.
In the message, read to the House by Speaker Juan Watterson, Her Majesty, referenced the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in the UK next month and said she hoped to meet representatives from the 53 nations which make up the Commonwealth.
She also pointed out how sport can help keep peace and develop relationships between nations.
