Event kicked off this evening
The patron of the Isle of Man Film Festival is gearing up to once again be heavily involved in proceedings.
The festival got underway this evening (Wed 5) in Peel, with the screening of a documentary about the Arab Spring.
Highlights over the next few days include a 50th anniversary screening of '2001: A Space Odyssey' and a Q and A with Katharina Kubrick, daughter of its director, Stanley, and a night of Manx musicians performing songs from films.
Mark Kermode says that will be preceded by him talking about another of his passions:
Garff Commissioners hosting offshore windfarm drop in session today
Public invited to suggest new brownfield site for potential re-development
Anthony Allen re-elected as chair at Onchan Commissioners
