No live poultry to be moved on or off Island
Poultry keepers on the Isle of Man are being asked to keep their birds housed and members of the public are being urged not to touch ill or dead birds.
It's after a second outbreak of avian influenza was confirmed – a number of feral chickens near to Tholt-y-Will have now been culled as a result.
No live poultry can be moved on or off the Island without consultation and agreement with the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
Chief veterinary officer Dr Amy Beckett is urging people to be vigilant but says there is little risk to humans:
