Pups come ashore for rest during stormy weather
A recent spell of rough and windy weather has seen a number of juvenile seals come ashore for rest around the Island.
One pup was spotted at Port Erin earlier this month - with police cordoning it off to ensure people kept their distance.
Marine Officer Dr Lara Howe says the seals will typically stay on land for a few hours:
The charity has a number of volunteer 'Seal Sitters' around the Isle of Man to keep an eye on the animals.
If you have any concerns about a seal you're asked to message the charity's page or call Lara on 450879 and one of the volunteer seal sitters will put up signage and assess the seal’s health.
