Kate Lord-Brennan not standing for re-election

Glenfaba and Peel MHK 'keen to return to the private sector'

Glenfaba and Peel MHK Kate Lord-Brennan has announced she's not standing for re-election in September.

She was first elected to the constituency in 2021, having previously served as an MLC.

In a post on Facebook, she says she is keen to return to the private sector 'in some capacity'.

Kate says: "In my heart of hearts, I arrived at this decision some time ago. 

"However, my sense of commitment, and my determination to continue standing up strongly for what matters while completing my duties, has meant that I have taken some time to announce it formally."

It follows the announcement from her constituency colleague, Tim Crookall, who is also not intending to stand in the General Election.

Currently, the candidates for Glenfaba and Peel are Katryna Baptist, Trevor Cowin, Colleen Dale-Beeton, James Hampton, Ray Harmer and Alex Perriam.
