A further three for written response

Questions take a back seat when the House of Keys sits today -  as the chamber prepares to debate a raft of amendments to the Equalities Bill.

There are only five questions for oral answer with a further three for written response.

Lawrie Hooper continues to be the most vocal person in the chamber. He's set to take his overall tally of Keys questions to 31.

The issue of bullying in Island schools will be raised this morning, as Garff MHK Daphne Caine kicks off proceedings.

She'll ask Education chief Graham Cregeen how his department plans to deal with such cases.

Other questions regarding the Code of Practice on Consultations and the Manx Economic Development Forum will also be asked - whilst North Douglas member David Ashford wants to know what contingency plans are in place for when the Air Ambulance fails.

Treasury Minister Alf Cannan is looking to steerh the Income Tax Legislation (Amendment Bill) Bill 2017 and the Insurance (Amendment) Bill 2017 through their second readings; whilst two other Bills are set to go for their third readings.

Dominating the agenda, though, will be the 60 proposed amendments to the Equalities Bill.
