The jury in the trial of the Island's Attorney General has been discharged after failing to agree on a verdict.
After 11 hours of deliberations, the seven-strong jury returned to court this afternoon (Friday) to tell presiding judge Deemster Birkett there was no unanimity.
It’s an inconclusive end to the two and a half week trial of 52 year-old Stephen Harding.
He has been bailed, pending a decision on whether the prosecution will pursue a re-trial.
