Two children receive minor injuries
A 27 year-old Jurby woman has been killed in a collision on the Lezayre Road.
It happened at around six thirty last night (Sunday) close to the junction with the Churchtown Loop Road.
She was driving towards Sulby when she lost control of the vehicle which collided with a tree before it came to rest in the road. No other vehicles were involved.
Two children in the car received minor injuries but were taken to hospital where they remain for observations.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the black Vauxhall Astra hatchback in the north of the Island earlier yesterday to call them on 631212.
They’re keeping an open mind as to the circumstances.
They’re also urging drivers to be aware of some advisory road signs put out overnight after they discovered issues with a newly laid road surface in the area.
