DoI puts up sign following complaints
Those with motorcycles, campervans and caravans are being told to stay away from the parade ground in Jurby if they don’t have permission to be there.
A sign has been put up by the Department of Infrastructure to ward off unauthorised users, following a complaint by a resident, and by local commissioners.
The area opposite the motor museum is used for events such as cycle races and vintage vehicle shows, but also informally by some as a place to practice driving cars and motorbikes.
The department says you can’t do that without its say so.
In a freedom of information request, it states this is to ensure the DoI is legally protected and can use the parade ground for its intended purpose.
