Could more Manx fruit and veg be available in previous Shoprite stores?
A farmer from the north of the Island says he’s hopeful he’ll be able to continue to sell his produce to Tesco following the retail giant’s expansion.
Stuart Allanson, of Allanson’s Manx Produce, grows fruit and vegetables on Rhendhoo Farm in Jurby.
He’s supplied Robinsons, and in turn Shoprite, for more than 40 years.
Mr Allanson told Manx Radio he’s optimistic that there’ll still be a spot for locally grown goods in the nine stores:
