Jurby Commissioners says it takes anti-social behaviour 'very seriously'

It comes after a dog poo bin was damaged and bags were thrown into residential gardens

Jurby Commissioners says it is taking an incident of anti-social behaviour on Tuesday morning 'very seriously'. 

It says a dog waste bin was damaged, and bags were 'thrown around the area' and into a nearby residential garden. 

The local authority confirmed it acted 'swiftly' and has removed the bin for repair and cleaned the surrounding area to a 'safe condition'.

It adds the incident was 'unpleasant and highly inconsiderate' to residents and has had an impact on the wider community.

It also says it's 'grateful' to the residents who brought it to the boards attention and is encouraging those who have information to contact the police.

The local authority adds: "Jurby Parish is a community that we should all be proud of, and we would ask everyone to treat our residents, public spaces and facilities with respect and consideration.  Anti-social behaviour is totally unacceptable and has no place in our parish."
