Jurby Commissioners says it has removed a 'small number' of components from its play area due to safety concerns.
In a statement on Facebook, the local authority confirmed it's a 'precautionary' measure to reduce the potential risks to children.
The commissioners are currently developing plans to refurbish the village's play area and says it will provide further updates as it progresses.
It added that the safety and wellbeing of the children in the community is its 'primary concern' but appreciates that it may cause 'some disappointment'.
