Temperature more like April
January was very mild and drier than normal.
That's according to figures released by Ronaldsway Met Office.
The average temperature for the month was 7.7 Celsius - 1.6 C higher than normal and closer to temperatures normally expected in April.
Total rainfall was just over 49mm - 41% lower than the normal for the time of year - but the third week of the month saw extreme high pressure, peaking on 20th of January, with a reading of 30.92 inches of mercury at the airport - the highest January figure since 1992.
There were no air frosts and just 4 grounds frosts - the lowest recorded number in 15 years.
