Jaks boss labels decision to close Sea Terminal after cancelled sailing 'shocking'

But the Department of Infrastructure has defended the move

The boss of the Jaks Group says he "couldn't believe it" when the Department of Infrastructure closed the Sea Terminal earlier this week after the cancellation of the Manannan evening sailing due to bad weather.

Barbary Coast in Douglas has been praised for opening its doors overnight to provide shelter for stranded passengers.

The DoI, which manages the terminal, has defended its decision to shut it, stating, 'it is the passenger’s responsibility to make alternative accommodation arrangements'.
