Patient shares experience on patient transfers
An Island resident being treated in the UK for bladder cancer says the patient transfer process can make his illness even more draining.
Peter Luft was speaking after the issue was raised in the House of Keys yesterday.
In response to concerns raised by Onchan MHK Rob Callister, Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford confirmed a review of the patient transfer process was being undertaken by the Department of Health and Social Care.
Mr Luft says he's been back and forth since last September when he was first diagnosed, which is both tiring and expensive:
