Motiv8 reacts to some of the measures being considered by government
It will be 'difficult' to stop drugs coming to the Island completely, according to a charity that supports people in recovery from addiction and dependency.
Last year, government launched its 'Securing Our Island' strategy in the hopes of increasing the security at the Island's ports.
It includes the introduction of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), as well as the possibility of passenger verification at the ports and transferring policing responsibility from the Department of Infrastructure to the Isle of Man Constabulary.
But Jason McKee and Thea Ozenturk from Motiv8 argue nothing will be able to stop them finding a way here.
They've been telling Amy Griffiths more about the current situation:
The Department of Home Affairs declined the opportunity to respond.
