
The Isle of Man has had, by some distance, the wettest summer since records began in 1947, according to the Met Office.
Its official figures show that 381.5mm of rain fell between June 1 and August 31, almost 200mm higher than average.
The previous wettest summer came in 1985, when 330mm of rain fell.
