Delay to proceedings: Roads now closing at 14:00
UPDATE: 7:45AM: There's a delay to today's TT schedule, with the opening qualifying session now getting underway four hours later than planned.
Organisers say due to low cloud and wet conditions from overnight rain.
Roads around the TT Course will now close at 14:00 and reopen no later than 9:30pm.
The new schedule is as follows:
Motorsport action returns to the Snaefell Mountain Course today for the start of the 2024 Isle of Man TT.
Roads around the course will be closed by 10am ahead of the first Free Practice & Qualifying session of the year.
The mountain will begin to close from Ramsey at 8:45am and 9am from the Bungalow.
The Newcomers' Speed Control Lap kicks things off at 10:40am, followed by the Supersport/ Supertwin bikes at 10:55am.
The following hour Superbike/ Superstock riders will get some untimed laps in from 11:35am.
Into the afternoon it's the turn of the Sidecars at 12:20pm.
The Supersport/ Supertwin bikes get back out at 1:45pm, followed by the Superbike and Superstock bikes from 2:30pm.
Finally today the Sidecars are due to return to the course at 3:20pm.
Roads around the TT Course will reopen no later than 9:30pm.
