Cabinet Office team working to formally approve extension
It's hoped the Isle of Man will join the Paris Climate Agreement by the end of the year.
The chief minister told Tynwald work is being done to enable that, with November the target for admission.
"Having the climate agreement extended to the Isle of Man will clearly signal to the international community our commitment to tackle climate change".

Mrs Caine welcomed the news, but asked why it had been left until now to join the agreement, and whether it would be beneficial to have an IoM representative at the COP 26 (2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference) in Glasgow:
