But new CEO believes IoM does have plenty to offer for future
The Island's tourism sector has been 'underachieving for a long time' and has 'not held its place' for some time.
That's the view of the new chief executive of Visit Isle of Man - the post has been created as part of a longterm aim to boost the tourist offering on Manx shores.
Deborah Heather has held national and regional tourism board roles in the UK and further afield.
