Hotel consultant says IoM has opportunity to grow sector
Covid-19 has strengthened the Isle of Man's ability to grow its tourism sector once border restrictions are relaxed further.
That's the view of a consultant who has been working with government to find ways to improve visitor accommodation on the Island.
Andrew Keeling of Hotel Solutions says a proportion of Manx facilities are 'dated and old-fashioned', and that government support is needed to accelerate change.
However, he told a Tynwald committee looking into tourism on the Island that UK and Irish visitors are keen to come here:
