Manx community responds to appeal
A substantial donation of aid for the hundreds left homeless by the London tower block fire, will be dispatched from the Island later today (16 June).
Members of the public and Island businesses rallied round after Wednesday's blaze at Grenfell Tower in west London, in which at least 17 people died.
Douglas-based recruitment agency Ambitions opened its doors to donations, as a major relief effort swung into action, to house, feed and clothe those who lost everything in the disaster.
Local courier firms have offered to transport bundles of donated items to a distribution centre in London, this weekend.
