MHK behind Manx legislation hopes Royal Assent will be granted soon
The mover of the Assisted Dying Bill on the Isle of Man says he believes Royal Assent could be granted soon for the bills from the Island and Jersey.
Last week, Jersey became the second part of the British Isles - after the Isle of Man - to back giving people the right to choose to end their own life.
Comparing the bills, Alex Allinson says they are slightly different but have the same safeguards.
He adds the Island's document is a little more stringent:
Isle of Man 'playing catch up' on regulatory penalties
'Something needs to be done' about 'eyesore' Lord Street siteĀ
Bus drivers' strike to end at 3am tomorrow
Daily closures at Ballig Bridge from today
