Legislation hasn't changed since 1984
People are being asked to take part in reforming the Island's adoption laws.
A public consultation has been launched by government to see how people would like the system to change.
It's to bring the Manx legislation in line with 'best practice' as adoption is currently 'governed by an act from 1984.'
The consultation is open now and people have until the 23 October to submit their views.
