Island till systems hit with technical issue

Manx Radio has received reports that the till system is currently down at Tesco stores across the Island.

Confirmed so far to us by listeners: Douglas (Lake Road and Victoria Road) and Port Erin.

We can confirm customers are currently being turned away at the doors.

Manx Radio contacted Tesco for comment.

A spokesperson for the retailer said: “Due a technical issue we are currently only able to use the checkouts at the Customer Service desks in our Isle of Man stores.

"We’re working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

"We apologise for the inconvenience but our store colleagues are on hand to help and we thank customers for their patience.”
