Chief minister thinks figures should be put in context
The chief minister claims an increase in crime has not made the Island a less safe place to live.
Allan Bell made the comments in the wake of the Police Constable's Annual Report, which was released earlier this week.
In addition to the nine per cent rise in recorded crime, the report shows the police are being stretched operationally following budget cuts.
But Mr Bell says the figures should be put in context:
