HEAR holds first meeting
A new pro-life group is being launched on the Island this evening (1 September).
Humanity & Equality in Abortion Reform - or HEAR - calls itself a 'progressive and humane movement to affirm the dignity and right to life' of unborn children.
It's been set up in direct response to CALM, a pro-choice lobby campaigning for abortion law reform.
Tonight's inaugural meeting at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas at 6:30pm will feature visiting speakers, including Lord Alton of Liverpool.
UK pressure group Right to Life spokesman Peter Williams will be there too.
Sue Richardson a spokesperson for HEAR - she says the law here is already sufficient:
Chief minister candidates debate their plans for the Island
New Marown commissioner looking forward to 'learning' from new colleaguesÂ
Rare opportunity to visit iconic Manx venues
'Step away from your desk' for workplace wellbeing event
