People already starting to see benefits of plan, Cannan claims
An updated government plan to enhance the Isle of Man over the coming years has received backing from Tynwald this week.
'Our Island Plan' - which sets out government aims over the next five years - now incorporates an economy strategy for the Island up until 2026.
Following a motion and resulting vote yesterday evening (18 January), Tynwald agreed to approve the plan, as well as note it will be a 'living document' which will be updated during this administration.
Furthermore, it also notes a requirement for department plans to be submitted for debate.
But the new plan was not without some opposition this week - with one of the concerns there's not enough 'action' coming from some of the plans set out.
However, Chief Minister Alfred Cannan believes people are already starting to see results:
