DEFA chief launches public consultation
The Isle of Man would be a perfect retreat for the red squirrel according to UK charity, the Countryside Restoration Trust.
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Richard Ronan has launched a public consultation to bring the endangered species to the Island.
Red squirrels can currently only be brought here under licences - and a licences keeper cannot allow them to roam free.
Lois Dixon from the Trust says it's an ideal location.
