Big day for Ben and Joshua
Two Island youngsters will mark Commonwealth Day at a special event in London today (Monday) - in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen.
Foxdale resident Ben Newsham, 20, and 19 year-old Joshua Radcliffe from Kirk Michael have been chosen to represent the Isle of Man branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
Ben and Joshua will join dignataries from around the Commonweath at a service in Westminster Abbey today.
There'll also be 1,000 other young people present to disucuss this year's theme: 'A Peace-building Commonwealth'.
The pair from the Isle of Man were chosen following a 200-word assignment.
University student Ben wrote about the importance of the Commonwealth in the aftermath of Brexit - while Joshua, who studies at Ramsey Grammar School, highlighted the global values spread by the institution.
Proceedings will finish with a reception at Marlborough House.
