Opposition to opposition
An Island resident has started a petition in opposition to those against proposals to re-develop Glen Truan golf course.
Tina Davis from Andreas has already collected more than 100 signatures in support of the plans by businessman John Morphet to build a luxury clubhouse, spa, well-being centre and 55 residential and holiday log cabins at the site.
The closing date to submit your views on the application is tomorrow (Friday 6th) and many people have raised concerns about the development's potential impact on the environment.
Mrs Davis says she’s disappointed at the stance of some individuals and claims some people simply don’t like progress.
