Island must consider how best to help Syrian refugees
A Manx-based expert in the Middle East, international security and terrorism says the Isle of Man would need to think carefully before taking in Syrian refugees.
Professor Roger Carey says the issue has raised its head as thousands of people fleeing the violence enter Europe.
The One World Centre last week said it planned to host a meeting on the subject after finding overwhelming support during a fundraising drive which raised £5,000 in a single weekend.
