Rest of British Isles yet to follow suit
The Isle of Man is the first place in the British Isles to introduce a hosepipe ban this year.
The restriction comes into force on Friday (29 July) and anyone caught flouting it could be fined up to £2,000
Meanwhile, the United Kingdom's Environment Agency met with the UK Government, water companies, Water UK, the NFU along with environmental protection groups yesterday (26 July) to discuss what action to take.
Instead of imposing a ban they urged users to save water as levels continue to drop at rivers and reservoirs across the British Isles.
