New all-Island strategy underway
Work on an all-island road safety strategy poses some unique problems, so says the Road Safety Manager at the Isle of Man Constabulary.
Earlier this year the public were asked for their views on the issue, with the intention to build a picture of the main themes people would like to see addressed, and their ideas on how this can be achieved.
It's the first time such a strategy has been considered on the Island .
Samantha Heard says along with well known events such as the TT and Festival of Motorcycling, there are various issues and events which have to be considered before forming an overarching strategy:
