Manx culture shines at Llangollen Eisteddfod.
An Island dance group has brought some Manx culture to North Wales, performing at the world-renowned Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
Perree Bane showcased traditional Manx dance through workshops and performances and also taught some students at a Welsh high school.
The dancers had to contend with temperatures of 32 Celsius in heavy consumes, but Chair Ben Harris says: "Moments like this show how much we have in common across Celtic nations, and how dance and music naturally bring us together.”
The group says the trip underscored the importance of cultural exchange and preserving the Isle of Man’s unique traditions.
They've highlighted that events like the Eisteddfod provide a platform to strengthen ties between nations, while ensuring that traditional dancing, music, and storytelling continue to thrive for future generations.
Perree Bane has thanked supporters and organisers, including the IOM Arts Council and the Steam Packet.
They describe the opportunity as a celebration of the power of cultural exchange and Celtic connection through music and dance.
