Office of Fair Trading says it would reduce burden on courts
The Isle of Man should consider introducing a fixed penalty notice system to discourage the sale and supply of vaping products to those under the age of 18.
That's the view of the head of the Office of Fair Trading who has been giving evidence to a House of Keys Select Committee.
Mark Smith told the Committee on Tobacco and Nicotine Products he's found the method to have been 'very effective' in the past.
He says the main benefit would be a reduction on burdening the Island's courts:
