The Queen's Commonwealth Games Baton departs the Island today (Monday) after a busy weekend.
Yesterday, it visited the TT grandstand, sailed on a Viking longboat and was carried across Douglas Bay in a small fastcraft as part of a flotilla around the Tower of Refuge in the capital’s harbour.
Many of the largest ever Manx Commonwealth Games team, due to compete later this year, carried the baton which will be taken to Northern Ireland later today for the next leg of its journey.
Amongst them was swimmer Laura Kinley who spoke to John Moss.
