Arguing the pro-abortion case
Changes to Island laws on abortion are long overdue, according to the Positive Action Group.
The organisation is hosting a public meeting this evening (Monday) where the topic will be discussed with a presentation from Mara Clarke, director of the Abortion Support Network.
The Isle of Man's current law comes under the termination of pregnancy Medical Defences Act of 1995 - based on a more liberal UK act from 1967.
PAG's Roger Tomlinson says the Island is woefully outdated:
The meeting is open to all and starts at 7:30pm at the Manx Legion Club on Market Hill in Douglas.
