Michael MHK Alf Cannan has paid tribute to the residents group which opposed plans by Heritage Homes to build 95 homes at Douglas Road corner in Kirk Michael.
Yesterday, the Council of Ministers accepted the recommendation of an independent planning inspector to turn down the application.
It follows several inquiries and a landswap deal between the developers and the Department of Education.
Mr Cannan says as far as the deal is concerned, he isn't expecting Heritage Homes to try again with revised plans.
