Event subsequently cancelled
The Festival Interceltique de Lorient has been been cancelled, but the Manx group had withdrawn from it ahead of that anyway.
The decision was made by Isle of Man delegates Sarah Hendy and Grainney Sheard because of the Covid-19 pandemic and related concerns about health and safety, travel restrictions and a lack of rehearsal time due to social distancing.
A ban on festival gatherings of more than 5,000 people has been extended until September by the French government.
More than 800,000 attend the Festival Interceltique de Lorient annually, and this year's was due to take place between 7 and 16 August.
