Topic under consideration after UK and Jersey moves
The Isle of Man Government is considering whether to scrap fees for the EU citizens settlement scheme.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Theresa May announced the decision to waive the £65 charge for adult EU workers to apply to continue living in the UK after Brexit.
Jersey made a similar move yesterday.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper had tabled a question in the House of Keys asking when the Isle of Man EU settlement scheme will be laid before Tynwald and on what date registration will open.
Unfortunately, Mr Hooper was held up in traffic following the closure of the Mountain Road and the question has been deferred to next week's sitting.
The UK scheme is set to be fully open by 30 March.
