Unit sent to Pulrose on Thursday afternoon
Armed police were called out to Pulrose in Douglas yesterday (9 November) following reports of an intoxicated male who had made threats to harm another person with a weapon.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says the unit was sent to the incident just after 1pm 'to ensure the safety of all people involved'.
Video footage from the scene has been shared online, and with Manx Radio, which shows officers with firearms and a member of the public outside a shop.
Officers say 'the incident was dealt with swiftly and nobody was injured as a result of the actions that were taken'.
Two men have been arrested.
