High Court issues order following application from Financial Services Authority
An interim receiver has taken charge of a financial business in Douglas.
Nicholas Halsall of PricewaterhouseCoopers will be responsible for the affairs, business and property of Wilton IoM Limited.
The appointment has been made by the Isle of Man High Court following an application by the Financial Services Authority.
As interim receiver, Mr Halsall will have full power to collect assets from the company.
A court order confirmed he'll also be able to require any present or former director of the company to provide documents or writings.
The FSA issued a public statement on the matter, saying it's in the public interest to do so.
The regulator says Wilton continues to be licensed with the authority to conduct corporate and trust services.
