Minister hears ideas for unused site
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says he’s optimistic a new use can be found for the Port Erin Marine Labs.
It’s after his department received four expressions of interest for the site, which has lain unused since Liverpool University closed the facility in 2006.
Mr Skelly says his department’s been contacted by both off and on-Island organisations with leisure, business and educational ideas.
But he says these are the earliest stages of getting a project going:
