
A retired insurance expert says it may not be easy for businesses affected by last week's accident in Strand Street to make a claim.
Several shops lost trade when a lorry delivering cement to a building site over-balanced and led to part of Douglas' main shopping street was cordoned off.
Some owners, including a local jeweller, have said they will now investigate making a claim for lost earnings.
