'We should be doing so much more with what we've got on the Island'
The infrastructure minister says he's hoping to rehabilitate the reputation of the Department of Infrastructure.
Chris Thomas was in discussion with MHK Daphne Caine and historian Charles Guard on Manx Radio Perspective with Phil Gawne.
There were heated conversations over the Island's railway's and what could be cut back if 'dark days' occurred and put the Isle of Man into 'financial meltdown'.
Mr Thomas says he was offered other positions within the Council of Ministers, but insisted he was the man for what he's called the 'hardest job in government':
