DESC and Locate IOM call recruitment campaign a 'success'
Island schools have had a significant influx of teachers at the start of the academic year.
Seventy new teachers in total have been hired into Manx schools - 33 at primary level and 37 into secondary schools across all subjects.
More than 25 of those positions will be working with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture for the first time.
Ten have been specifically recruited into maths and science, subjects that are traditionally more challenging to attract.
The numbers come after government's summer recruitment campaign.
