
Inflation on the Island has increased in the past month according to Treasury's latest figures.
The figure, as measured by the retail prices index, went up from 2.1% in August to 2.8% in September.
The annual rate of inflation excluding housing costs also saw an increase in September to 2.2%.
The Treasury report indicates the biggest price increases over August and September were for clothing and footwear, a rise of 4.7% and on cigarettes and tobacco, up 4.1%.
