Inflation rate jumped to 10.1% in October

Housing, water and fuels biggest contributors to rising rate

The Isle of Man’s inflation rate jumped again in October.

It now stands at 10.1 per cent – up from 9.8 per cent in September.

Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels continue to be the biggest contributor to the rising inflation rate.

Gas saw the biggest increase of 149.7 per cent.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages have also risen by 12.5 per cent and oils and fats increasing by 34.8 per cent.

The inflation rate is measured by the Consumer Price Index.
